The Santa Izabel Farm is located in Ouro Fino, a town of some 33,716 inhabitants in southern Minas Gerais. This is a region of mountains and valleys, with altitudes that vary from 997 to 1591 meters.

Since the early 20th Century coffee has been one of the region’s main export products, producing the first major economic boom.

The large coffee plantations in the region landscape the mountains and are much admired. They also create jobs and keep the rural population in place .

The Santa Izabel farm has always been recognized for the high quality of its coffees. In 2013, its owner Marco Suplicy sold the farm to Nobletree Coffee Farms, who renovated it and has reaping new fruits since 2017.

In 2015 their Icatu variety, planted since 2013, placed the farm in 11th place in the pulped-natural category. In 2017, its Bourbon variety was present at the Cup of Excellence.

Right now the farm is focusing on renewal of the older sections. They plant 40 different varieties to test which coffees taste the best to select those for the coming vintages. The Santa Izabel farm adopts good social and environmental practices, and preserves the quality of each crop. It also offers courses and workshops for small producers in the region, strengthening their relationship and helping them find the best buyers.
